Program: Round Island Lighthouse Event: Days, times and Equipment were discussed. More information including scheduling of operation will be emailed to those who wish to participate. The Site was measured and planned by Charlie, N2PKW, Fred, N5GJ and Dan, AE5JG. Three tents will be provided. Tables and chairs are needed.

Old Business:
Repeater Update by Nick, K5BQJ – a big Thank You to Nick Bass, KC5OXI and Jack White, KC5RC for aligning the “cans” without charging the Club!
Charlie, N2PKW spoke of the developments on plans and growing interest concerning both Repeaters on the proposed Water Tower site. Date to be set for a meeting with the Gautier City Manager to look at the proposed Site and to make final arrangements. Kurt, K5KDO spoke of remaining expenses: cable and housing facilities, etc. An estimate is to be given for the next meeting.
VE Activities: Charlie, N2PKW gave one test and we have a new General: Chris KF5RRL! He said there are more people interested in testing and upgrading. Additional training for VE’s may be needed but no one seems to know anything about it.
Next Meeting is scheduled for October 29.
New Business: Rod, KC5LCW, Chairman of the Nominating Committee, spoke of the need for nominees for President, Vice President and Treasurer. One Candidate for President, is Charlie, N2PKW. He is the only one who has declared himself for Office. The names of Nominees are to be submitted to the Club Secretary, Valerie, N9RQX after she sends emails to the Club Membership requesting Nominees for these Offices. Responses are to be submitted to the Club Secretary [email protected] no later than October 22nd before the next Club Meeting.
Kurt, K5KDO reminded everyone about the Ham Of The Year Award that will be announced at the Christmas Party. Please send your Nominees for this to the Club Secretary [email protected] as well but please keep them separate from your Officer Nominees, or they will get lost.
Round Island Lighthouse: Dan, AE5JG called for a Motion to draw from Club Funds for fuel for the two generators and back-up. Motion Accepted by Charlie, N2PKW, Motion Seconded by Chuck, N9RRI, Motion carried.
Dan, AE5JG called for a Motion to draw from Club Funds for a Concession Stand to be located at the Site. Motion accepted by Rod, KC5LCW, Motion seconded by Fred, N5GJ, motion carried.
President Kurt, K5KDO called for a Motion to Adjourn, Motion accepted by Barb, KE5QHZ, Motion seconded by Fred, N5GJ, Motion carried. Meeting adjourned.
